HOW I DE-STRESS

MY AT-HOME MANICURE ROUTINE
My nails get chipped so often, (mostly due to taking my Pandora bracelet off - those things are fiddly) that having coloured nail polish on is too much hassle. I still like to have my nails neatly groomed though, and that's how I came up with this at-home manicure routine. Read how you can achieve nicely groomed nails in 10 steps!
TOP 5 PLACES I WANT TO TRAVEL TO
I seem to be having the travelers bug at the moment and have already started planning where I want to go to next. I've decided to do a post on the 5 places I want to visit next and a little bit about why and what I want to do there!
OCTOBER FAVOURITES
I don't know about you, but whenever I walk into a shop I literally can't help myself, and I always end up buying something. I'm also more inclined to buy something new if it's a new range, if it looks pretty etc. That's the reasoning behind these 5 purchases. I have bought a few other things in the past month, but these are my favourite buys of the past month!
WIN DINNER FOR 2 AT THE SHARD*
Do you want to win an exclusive meal for two at the famous Aqua Shard restaurant, situated on the 31st of the Shard in London? Then this post is for you!
5 Things You Should Bring To University With You
1) Painkillers and plasters - you'll need both after a night out.
Painkillers will help you feel slightly less hungover in your early lectures, so stock up on them. If you're a girl especially, plasters are a good idea to help the blisters from your heels. Yes heels are great, but they're also a pain in the foot. The painkillers will also be good for when you catch freshers flu - which you will (sorry!)
2) Extension leads - because 2 plugs is not enough!
Last year in halls, I only had 2 plug sockets, which wasn't enough for my lamp, phone charger, laptop charger, and everything else. An extension lead (like this: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9150126.htm) will ensure you have enough plugs to power everything.
3) Toilet roll - don't rely on 'buying some once you're there.'
After a long car journey to university from your hometown, there's a good chance that someone in your car will need a wee once you're there. And drip drying is not pretty.
4) Tin Foil - it saves washing up.
Let's face it; students are lazy and we want to avoid washing up as much as we can. By putting tin foil on your baking tray, you won't really need to wash it up after you use it - the foil will take the dirt with it when you throw it away. Also, it's good for covering up half eaten food in the fridge.
5) I.D - otherwise freshers will not be happing for you.
Not only will you probably need I.D to prove to halls you are who you say you are, you'll need it for nights out! If the only I.D you have is your passport then perhaps it's a good idea to get a provisional drivers licence? Otherwise it will be a very expensive night out if you loose it.
Where are you going to university this year? Do you have anything to add to the list? Comment down below!!

Introducing 2truecosmetics.com!! + Discount Code
It's such a nice feeling when you find products that are good but won't cost mega £££'s. I had heard of 2true cosmetics but had never bought any before as I didn't know where sold them! A few weeks ago they were kind enough to send me a few things from their range to try out and let you guys know what I think!
They've recently launched their brand new website (http://www.2truecosmetics.com/) so it's now super easy to buy them :) Their range is priced from £1.99 so that's great for everyone, but especially those who don't like spending a lot (like me.)
Favourite products and why:
- My #1 product is definitely the 'WOW Volume' mascara. The brush is very similar to the Benefit 'They're Real' mascara. It makes me lashes longer and with more volume without making them look clumpy and gross. - £2:99
-At #2 I've chosen the nail varnishes. They're all 'Fast Dry' which for me is the main selling point of nail varnishes. I do not have the time to sit there for hours waiting for my nails to dry haha. - £1:99 each
-My #3 top product is the lipstick (which I have in the shade 2.) The lipsticks, and lipglosses, stay on for ages so you don't need to constantly reapply every time you have something to eat/drink. - £2:29 each
I would definitely recommend this brand to younger teenage girls who want to start trying out makeup but need affordable products! It reminds me of 'Natural Collection' but a much bigger range and better products.
They also do a 'Be Clear' range which is designed for younger skin. I understand that when you're younger its not good to wear makeup often. However, when girls get to the stage where they want to experiment with makeup, it's nice that there's a range of products that won't harm their skin :)
I can't wait to build up my collection of the products. Next to buy on my list are the Pro WOW Gloss Lips Pencils!
I also have a discount code if you want to buy a few products: X00418. You also get free delivery if you spend £20 or more which is fabbbbb :D
Let me know down below your favourite affordable makeup brands!

Clo Clo London Jewellery Review*
Recently I have started wearing jewellery a bit more, and slowly growing my collection. I always found that it was hard finding affordable jewellery that wasn't tacky! - and then I found Clo Clo London, and now I aim to own most of the things on there!
Clo Clo London is one of the most exclusive online fashion jewellery boutiques based in London, and every piece of jewellery is hand-picked by their globally-represented buyers.
They were kind enough to send me a few pieces to try out and let you guys know what I thought of them.
Piece number 1:
Product name: Liselle
The good
The good
- The necklace doesn't look or feel cheap, so I am so pleased with the quality!
- The neutral colours go with most of my outfits.
- The chain is relatively thick, so I'm not worried about it breaking due to the weight of the main part of the necklace.
- Only thing I can think of is that I'd be a bit worried about one of the pastel stones falling out of the necklace. However, they do look like they're stuck in very well!
Where can I buy?
Piece number 2:
Product name: Paloma Bracelet
The good
Repurchase? I would definitely purchase more pieces from their website, and will probably order some of their earrings and other pieces soon too.
The good
- Same as the necklace, I am so pleased with the quality!
- It looks like a unique piece, I have never seen a bracelet that looks the same in another store.
- It fits my wrist perfectly - I have small wrists so bracelets are often way too big for me!
- The chain is quite thin and I would be scared of it breaking if I wore it every day. However, I think I will save this piece for a special occasion such as date night or a party.

How I cleared up my skin! ft. Magnitone
I was sent the Magnitone Lucid around a week ago, and am amazed with the results!! It aims to give "Softer, clearer, + brighter skin in just 7 days." I for one can say it keeps to its word.
To use, just apply a small amount of your normal face wash (I've shown the 2 I use above) and gently work into the skin.
Product name: Magnitone Lucid in the colour Blue
The good
- 1 charge lasts 2 weeks! This is great as you can go away for a few days and not have to take the charger with you.
- Light and portable.
- It has 2 settings - normal and sensitive (which is great for skin like mine!!)
- Within 2 days I could see a massive difference. My skin was less sensitive, have virtually no spots, and wasn't as red.
- It only takes 1 minute a day. The aim is to spend 20 seconds on a third of your face; such as forehead, left cheek, and right cheek. The Magnitone will beep after every 20 seconds, and will automatically stop when you're done.
Cons
- I have found no faults so far with this product. I guess the only thing I would say is that I wish I could use it for longer as it feels like a mini massage every time I use it!
- The Magnitone is slightly pricey at £69.99, but as it lasts for years, I think it's worth it!
Repurchase? I wouldn't really need to repurchase but I will be buying more heads (which you replace every 12 weeks)
Where can I buy? po.st/SPX3ZE USE THE CODE LaurenB20 FOR 20% OFF.

If you want to know where anything is from then let me know by leaving a comment :)
Enjoy! -p.s why not subscribe too?

An HONEST review of Slendertoxtea Teatox*
Having tried other teatoxes before (such as Bootea) I was up for trying another - this time it was the Slendertoxtea Teatox. I received the 14 day teatox which included 14 day teatox teabags, and 7 sleeptox tea bags.
The teabags are to be brewed for 2-3 minutes in warm but not boiling water.
The tea is meant to:
- Increase Energy
- Increase Metabolism
- Reduce Bloating
- Aid Weight Loss
I'm a firm believer in leaving an honest review, and this one is just that. The side effects were too horrible for me to want to complete the 14 days. Here's why:
(It does get a bit gross so here's your warning)
On the website it does say this: "The only real noticeable side effects you may get from the Slender Teatox are those associated with a laxative effect, these can include cramping and increased visits to the bathroom but should not include diarrhea, vomiting, severe cramping or dizziness." - bear this in mind when I explain my symptoms.
Side Effects
DAY 1: Within a few hours of taking the first tea I had a horrible feeling in my stomach - much like if you've got a tummy bug. I decided that it was probably just the result of the 'cleansing of my colon' and powered through.
A few hours later though I had an upset stomach which lasted all day. I knew this was not a good thing and looked online. I read on the Slendertoxtea website that the tea may result in a laxitive effect and so I decided that what was happening must be normal.
DAY 2: I woke up feeling god damn awful - much like the day before. Luckily I had started the teatox on a Friday so didn't have to leave my flat. Today was the day I also took the Sleeptox in the evening.
DAY 3: The cramps were horrendous, i've never felt pain like it. It was close to really bad period pains but higher up in your stomach. I also couldn't eat anything without going to the toilet straight after (Yes, I know that's gross but I said I'd be honest.) I decided to go back to the website for advice as I knew what I was experiencing was not ok. The website said this: "Depending on the intensity of these side effects you can adjust the strength of your Slendertox Tea by soaking the teabag for less time than usual."- I decided to brew the tea for around 30 seconds the next day.
DAY 4: I brewed the tea bag for 30 seconds in the morning, but I was scared the whole day that the pain would come back. Then I realised- why am I doing this to my body?!
It's because of this that I decided to stop the teatox on the 4th day in. It's not ok for me to be putting my body through something it's not comfortable with. I think I must be allergic to one of the ingredients in the tea and that's why my body reacted so bad.
I have been putting off writing this review as I never want to make a company look bad. However, I was sent the product for an honest review and here it is.
I'm not saying that you shouldn't do this teatox, but I would recommend you only brew the tea for around a minute on the first day - just to see how your body reacts to it. (it's something I wish they put on the back of the packet) Just because my body reacted bad to it doesn't mean the same will happen to everyone else - the teatox has helped many others in loosing weight!
You can but the tea here: http://www.slendertoxtea.co.uk/shop/14-day-teatox

Maybelline Colour Drama Velvet Lip Pencils
Every time I go into Boots my eyes are drawn to these. They are the Maybelline Colour Drama Velvet Lip Pencils and today I picked up 3!
I decided to do a blog post on them because of how much I love them. They're all very pigmented which is great. One thing I would say is that as the stick itself it quite thick, it is a bit harder to get a good outline on your lips. However, you could always use your finger or a lip brush - which I will probably do next time I apply them.
The first shade is called Berry Much (which I mainly got because of the name hehe).
The next shade is Nude Perfection. (I am obsessed with nude shades recently)
The last shade is Light It Up. (as if I needed another red shade)
There are a few other colours available too, you can check them out here: http://www.boots.com/en/Maybelline-Color-Drama-Lipstick_1505296/

New Favourite Fake Tan: NKD SKN*
Since around 2013 I have been experimenting with different fake tans. I'm lucky enough to tan quite easily, but throughout the winter months (and even in the summer as I live in England) it can be difficult to tan - and that's where the fake stuff comes in.
NKD SKN was nice enough to send me some of their fake tan mousse to try out; and I looooove it!
Here's why:
Product name: NKD SKN Tinted Tan Mousse
Shade I used: Dark (I think next time I would go for medium but this shade worked well too)
The good
- It is odourless so you don't have that horrible 'fake tan cheesy smell'
- Dries within a matter of seconds
- It easy to blend so you're not left with patchy parts!
- It lasts for a number of days - the bottle claims it lasts up to 7 days. (I applied it on my legs 4 days ago and my legs still look tanned - even after numerous showers)
- It's easily buildable - I re-applied around 2 days after first application to get the shade I wanted.
Cons
- The only con I found was that if I splashed water on the tanned area within the first half hour after applying, it did wash off on that patch - but this didn't bother me too much as I just blended it in.
Repurchase? 100%. I found no real faults so no reason why I wouldn't get it again!
BEFORE
AFTER
You can purchase this (along with their other products) here: http://www.vitaliberata.co.uk/store/?q=0&pid=190
It's also sold in Superdrug!
What are your favourite fake tans??
